The Team

The Management Team

The Vaults is guided by a leadership team uniting expertise in engineering, immersive technology, and audience development. Together, they bring the vision, technical strength, and community focus needed to shape the Vaults into a world-class destination that blends heritage with innovation.

Andy White

Managing Director / CEO

Andy is the founder and driving force behind the Vaults. With qualifications in civil engineering and naval architecture, he combines technical understanding with entrepreneurial vision. His plans for breaking into the reservoir and constructing a grand entrance and shop are central to the project’s success. Andy will lead on strategic direction, major funding applications, and creative oversight, as well as building strong relationships with stakeholders and the wider community.

James Hammond

Director – Systems & Infrastructure Lead

James brings extensive experience with AV systems and has a family connection to the Copper Mines, a long-established underground attraction on the Great Orme. His background gives him a practical insight into both immersive technology and underground visitor operations. At the Vaults, he will oversee infrastructure, AV, and IT systems, ensuring that the attraction’s technical delivery is robust, safe, and reliable.

Tony Edwards

Director – Audience Development & Marketing Lead

Tony has a proven background in customer engagement and business development, with first-hand experience of growing audiences for leisure and entertainment venues. At the Vaults, he will be responsible for developing the brand identity, shaping marketing strategy, and managing relationships with external agencies and local partners. His focus is on building awareness, driving visitor numbers, and ensuring long-term audience loyalty.

The Creative Network

The Vaults project will be delivered by a team of artists, designers, and technical specialists whose combined expertise spans folklore, immersive storytelling, digital design, and AV integration. Each member will contribute internationally recognised skills and proven experience to ensure the project achieves both creative ambition and technical robustness.

Rowynn Ellis

Lead Artist

Rowynn, a Bangor-born illustrator and author, will draw on Welsh folklore, mythology, and nature to provide creative direction. With clients including Wizards of the Coast, Penguin Random House, and HarperCollins, and the acclaimed Welsh Monsters & Mythical Beasts, they will ensure the Vaults’ exhibits are visually striking and rooted in authentic storytelling.

Kurt Stevenson-Bills

Digital Lead

Kurt, a Great Orme resident, is a VR Content Producer specialising in gameplay design, environment art, and immersive technology. He will oversee digital content creation for the Vaults. Building on his leadership of Paradrop VR, and expertise in Unreal Engine and interactive mechanics, he will ensure all experiences are engaging, robust, and scalable.

Ren Manuel

3D Artist

Ren, an Advanced Character Artist at Supermassive Games, will translate Rowynn’s 2D designs into fully realised 3D creatures. With credits on The Quarry, Little Nightmares 3, Forza Horizon, and Marvel’s Avengers, Ren will bring creature design and sculpting expertise to create lifelike, responsive characters for the Vaults.

Anthony, founder of Zed Motion, will design and deliver motion graphics, projection mapping, and digital storytelling elements for the Vaults. With over a decade of experience in immersive installations and a North Wales Tourism Award for his work at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, he will ensure projection-led content is visually spectacular and seamlessly integrated.

Sean Parry

Sean, founder of Sacred Knot Tattoo, Llandudno, and internationally recognised artist, will shape narrative voice, bilingual narration, and soundscapes for the Vaults. Drawing on his experience with Celtic art, folklore, and BBC-featured projects such as Y Gododdin, he will create an authentic narrative layer that deepens the emotional impact of the exhibits.

Andy Noble

AV Advisor

Andy, director of Piranha AV, will advise on projection, lighting, sound, and interactive systems. With a proven track record at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, where he also won a North Wales Tourism Award, he will ensure the Vaults’ exhibits are powered by robust, future-proof technology.
